13 WMAZ!!!!

How fun! This is Abbie Kate and this picture was taken on Monday morning as it rained outside. My dad, Pop to Abbie Kate, brought over a turtle he found at his house...and I mean she had SO much fun with this turtle! She followed its every move, danced for him, picked him fresh flowers, and made every possible effort to be his new friend. After we decided to come back inside to let the turtle rest, he apparently got a little homesick and left us. We have many pictures from this event and she really enjoyed this fun time. WELL...Monday night as I was watching 13 WMAZ I saw a segment called "through your eyes" and they pick a photo that you send in and feature it....so I thought this would be the perfect one to share. After uploading the picture, the information said in 2-3 days they would let you know something. Well, I didn't watch the news last night because I was at bible study, but I did get a call this morning at 7:15 saying "did you keep the turtle?" I said "what????" He said..."the turtle!!! I saw the picture on the news last night!!!" I cannot believe I missed it! I am so excited this picture was chosen! You can go to www.13wmaz.com and go under some tab that has "through your eyes" and see the picture under "featured" or search the neighborhood "Milledgeville." I just thought this was so cool! I had that I missed it, but hey, it was on tv!!! Anyway, I normally do not share pictures of my own family, but this one was a little special! I hope you all have a blessed Wednesday!

An unforgettable weekend in Macon!

This weekend was wonderful! Courtney, Rachel and I had the pleasure of photographing Jan and Andy Clark's wedding at the beautiful catholic church downtown. The church itself is so beautifully decorated, the ambiance of the wedding just added to the scenery! These pictures are just a short preview of the fun we had. Jan and Andy were a lovely couple to work with. The ceremony was perfect and the reception afterwards was just as lovely. Many many wishes to Jan and Andy on a happy life together!
We also participated in the Tour of Kitchens sponsered by the Junior League. My sister, Courtney, was so gracious to help out during the wedding on Saturday. Today, Courtney S. and I catered to over 600 people who came on the tour. In all 944 people came through our home on the tour. We had some wonderful responses to the photography and gained many new friends. We also held a drawing for a free sitting and our Grand prize winner was.... Mrs. Gwynell Davis. After speaking to her on the phone tonight, she is super excited about getting some pictures of her three precious granddaughters. I cannot wait either! This event was another blessing in this journey. Thanks to all who participated. Love in Christ, Kyle

Love at first sight!

Yes, that explains my session today with sweet Arrie. Arrie is one week old and is Hank's cousin. I did Hank's pictures a few weeks back and sweet Hank came back to visit today and brought his new cousin to show off. We now have a real studio to shoot in, which is wonderful. The lighting is perfect! I was so happy with how the baby photographed today. He was an angel! Now, I must mention when his Daddy was asked his opinion of what pictures he wanted today...he said two things....1-our feet...(together of course!) and 2-Arrie needs a mohawk! Yes, you guessed it! Daddy even brought the gel and gelled up baby Arrie's hair! I must say, I loved the way these pictures turned out...a little edgy for a newborn, but stunning! Check out their portfolio...we had lots of fun and tried lots of new things! Love in Christ, Kyle

Meet my four new furry friends...oh and Joni and Nate too!

So this was my first shoot with animals, and not just any animals, a pig and three dogs. Let me introduce you to Joni and Nate's babies...first on the left there is Oreo (who I hear is the town celebrity when it comes to pig kissing contests), then there is Trigger the lab, next you see Harley and lastly Chester. Now overall, Harley got the award for being still and minding, but Trigger was a close second. Oreo and Chester, on the other hand, had their own agendas. It was hilarious! Much harder than children...as when you hand these guys food...their faces go to the ground as opposed to a child giving you a prize winning smile for a "thank you!" None the less, it was so much fun...we also made it to some railroad tracks...that made for some fun pics too! I hope you will enjoy these as much as I did! Love in Christ, Kyle

A new baby will be here soon!

I had so much fun today. Amy, Brenden and Tyner came to see me for a maternity shoot. I met Tyner back during our bunny shoots and Amy and I discussed some maternity pictures then. It has been so much fun since then because Amy sends me emails of pictures she has found on the internet of what she likes. I really enjoyed this session because we really tried some new and cool things! I cannot wait to add them all (with Amy's permission) to the maternity gallery in the portfolio. I hope you enjoy looking at this session...it sure was a great one! Love in Christ, Kyle

Our photography is finally published!

This is an exciting post for us! We have a fun event coming up in Macon. The weekend of April 26-27 we are going to host a kitchen for the "Le Tour of Kitchens" sponsored by Junior League. We are so excited about having the opportunity to meet some new faces and introduce them to our photography. It was exciting to pick up a magazine in Macon and see our business listed as an "appetizer" in the menu. You can check out this AWESOME event at www.jlmacon.org. Several of the families that I photograph are involved with this wonderful organization. It gives back to the community in so many ways, and we all feel blessed to be a part of this tour!
The second part of the picture above is such an honor! Milledgeville is where the studio is located and our home town. We really enjoy doing business here but keep our advertising to a minimum. There are so many wonderful local photographers here that we are trying to build our business mainly from referrals rather than advertise. SO....I entered a picture into a contest of a local magazine, Milledgeville Scene. So cool that the picture was picked as the feature picture! This is exciting and gives us all some inspiration to enjoy all aspects of photography, including small, local contests. This is how we grow and continue to learn what others like and look for when publishing.
God is so good and continues to open doors for this business to grow and prosper. We all feel very blessed to do something we love, and hopefully make others happy in the process. To look back on the business only beginning 6 months ago...it is amazing to see where God is leading us and how we can help to spread his word through this journey! I checked our website meter the other day and we are up to 7,000 hits! WOW! That is super exciting to me! We will try to bring you new opportunities and keep our ideas fresh so that you want us to stay a part of your lives!
Love in Christ, Kyle (Courtney, Rachel and Laura too!)

If you cannot tell what he is doing...picture number two he is playing the "air guitar/brush!" He was so much fun...we sang, danced, played outside and enjoyed our visit! Thank you Carla for visiting today...I am looking forward to the new baby's arrival! Love in Christ, Kyle

Wonderful news for the company!

So it was such an exciting email from the district manager of Strasburg Children Clothing that was an effort to contact me to meet with their new store manager in Macon in hopes of becoming a feature photographer for the new Macon store. After our meeting, I received the exciting news and then again met with the manager this week. I now have postcard sized business information and a portfolio filled with children in Strasburg available at the new store in Macon. Any customers of mine that would like to do a shoot with any of the "approved" clothing, please call me and let's set up some time to get some pictures of your children in the store! What an honor to be a part of such a well known and highly respected organization. God continues to bless this journey! Love in Christ, Kyle

A 4 year old in his element...

Chandler is my nephew and will be four next month. I was able to take a few "action" shots of him over the weekend and he reminded me of how fortunate children are to have that endless ball of energy! I wish I could borrow some of his. My sister said "watch this...RUN CHANDLER!!! " And out came the most beautiful smile I have ever seen...he ran and was so happy for us! It was so much fun capturing Chandler in his element. These precious photos are from his session...Enjoy! Love in Christ, Kyle

Joy and Jamie, your family is just incredible and so inviting.. I felt like one of you. It was a beautiful day and the colors just exploded on the photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Thanks again for giving me this opportunity!

Relay for Life

Here are a few pictures taken by either Courtney or myself from Relay for Life on Friday evening. It was amazing as you can see. The first picture was the group that sang the national anthem...I do not recall their name but they were amazing! The second picture was actually before the relay began and this couple were walking hand in hand...I thought that was touching. The third picture is Hannah Layfield, the relay princess this year and her mother. She is such a little angel to have endured what she already has in her short, but strong life. The next picture is a survivor and I am assuming her two girls. I loved the smiles on their faces. That was something that was evident to Courtney and me the entire time, the endless smiles you see! The next picture, to me was just showing God's glory...the sky was beautiful and just opened up like it was heaven! The next picture was taken from the rooftop of a RV. It encompassed the entire parking lot full of tents. I LOVE THAT ONE!!! The last one was just a small view of the thousands of bags that surrounded the relay track. Please check soon under proofing and "giving back" for the actual pictures. We really enjoyed this! Love in Christ, Kyle

Relay for Life Survivor Dinner

Here are a few pictures from the Survivor Dinner that was hosted at FUMC on Tuesday night. This was the dinner that honors all of the surivivors for the upcoming Relay for Life. I wish I had taken notes on what the meanings were for all of the items placed on the table in the second picture...but it truly reminded me of the opportunity to give to fight this effort. The last picture here is a picture of the Relay for Life King and Queen. They had been the longest surivivors that attended that night. I remember that one of them had beaten cancer for 40+ years! WOW...such a God thing to still be here living and enjoying this earth! Love in Christ, Kyle

Our next wedding...in just two weeks!

In just two short weeks, this precious couple will be married! We are so excited to photography Jan and Andy's wedding in Macon the last weekend of April. This was such a beautiful day to photography such a glowing couple. We met this morning and did some pictures in downtown Milledgeville. Check out their proofs to see the rest of their engagement session! Love in Christ, Kyle

Another angel to tell you about...

So the more I am around 2 year olds...the more I realize how fun and precious this time is. This is Conner. He is 22 months...almost ready for a birthday! He came over to play with me today...and we happened to get the camera out too! As usual, God put another perfect angel in front of me and showed me how well behaved two year olds act! This child smiles on command, entertained me by pointing to his nose, eyes and ears (as you can see in the proofing) and showed me just how much fun a swing set can be! It is so magical to be around little ones! He brought his Grandmama Jackie and Aunt Joni with him. Needless to say, these two sisters got plenty of laughs out of little Conner for the camera! I thoroughly enjoyed this and thank you Hutcheson family once again for sharing your precious ones with me! Love in Christ, Kyle

A lovely weekend in Florida....

Here are a few shots from the beautiful wedding Courtney and I photographed this weekend in Florida. The wedding was on the beach and it was breathtaking! I love the second picture of the grandparents holding each other as they watch Joe and Carrie's marriage begin. It was such a precious ceremony and weekend to be a part of! We are so blessed to be in bible study with Carrie and so excited that we were able to photograph this weekend. We always really take the time to get to know our couples getting married...how they met, got engaged and some fun stuff in between...these details help us to know what personality their pictures will bring and what also is special to them during their wedding weekend. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures...more to come in a few weeks! Love in Christ, Kyle

Another pair of angels...

So as you can see...here I go bragging again about the perfect angels I am so fortunate to photograph. Today it was Anna and Marsh. They were so well behaved and as you can see, even showed me how important prayer is to them. It melted my heart! There is nothing more in this world that I want for my children, than to be close to Jesus...and this was such a hope for the future for my two! Thank you so much Nancy for sharing them with me again! I adore your family! Check out their portfolio and see all of the fun we had! Love in Christ, Kyle

I love newborns!

Tuesday afternoon, I had the pleasure of doing some pictures for a friend of mine. She had just had her 3rd baby and finally, she had a little girl. You see, this mommy has prayed for this little angel for so long, that it just did my heart good to see her holding a little pink baby girl! I really enjoyed this session, as her two older boys are extremely well behaved and mind so well...that it again, makes me wonder what book all of these parents are reading to become so great at what they do! Anyway, check out her proofs and see her in a tutu...we had a lot of fun with little Ava Kate! Love in Christ, Kyle
