There is nothing like a new baby...

I just think there is nothing like those first few days of life. Here is Graysen and he is 6 days old. He was the sweetest little newborn. He slept so well for us as we moved him from place to place. I mean he couldn't have been better! I love this first picture with his mama. She is so in love with him and it just shows everytime she looks at him..her eyes just light up!
This was so sweet too...Graysen was the model baby for so many shots I was excited to try. He let us wrap him up, lay him on his tummy and back, oh my...do all sorts of things! This is what makes having a brand new baby so fun to work with...usually in that first week of life they will sleep soo soundly that you don't even bother them! I always think a newborn shoot should be in the first seven days, IF at all possible! I hope you will check out his pictures under 2008 proofing...he was a real trooper!

Ava, sweet little Ava!

So anyone that knows me, knows that I love natural light and windows. This was such a cute moment, because Ava's daddy, Kevin, was outside dancing for her! He was trying to get her to smile and needless did he know that as she was smiling she said "Daddy come in here and love on me!" It was the sweetest words in the world! Ava was such a doll to take pictures of...she truly smiled the entire time and posed like she had done this many many times before! This top pictures is Ava loving on her two favorite stuffed animals. She is a treasure!

A different take on my posting for today...

Okay, today instead of posting pictures of a photo session, I am going to pass on a website to you. If you haven't already been introduced to Ethan Powell...(www.ethanpowell.com) here is your opportunity! He just turned one and is battling for his life with Leukemia. I read his parents daily "updates" on his website and they are at a turning point...not knowing if the results will be good or bad. So please add this little boy to your prayer list, check out his website and read the updates section. I promise if you are a parent, or even have a heart...it will effect you deep down. This situation reminds me of how petty my little, and I do mean little problems are. Also, not to get "all spiritual" in this post, but last night on my way to a party, I passed a church that had this posted on its sign...."TGIF...Thank God I'm Forgiven!"

Eyes for her Daddy...

So if you are possibly wondering, what is so adorable about this shot, besides the fact that Addison is an angel? Well let me tell you...her Daddy...who she absolutely adores was outside in the raining dancing around for her to smile! He would get really close to the glass and almost kiss it and she would go crazy! I just feel like this picture has such sweet and precious memories behind it. I mean just look at her eyes...can you tell that he is her prince or what? Anyway, I couldn't help but show this picture off and share how it was made. Jason is a wonderful father...this picture just proves it!

A sweet little princess...

Sleepy princess...a hard days work! She read the books to me, what a smart little girl!

Even a short reenactment of what happened to Cinderella...notice the shoe is missing...

Her favorite part...looking in her vanity at how "bootiful" she looked...so cute!

So this morning was fun...I took some pictures of Abbie Kate as she pretended to be a princess...it was so cute!

The Marlor House Display...

Well, this is a little late, but for the month of December, these two pictures above were on display at the Marlor House (center for allied arts) here in downtown Milledgeville. I hated that I missed taking pictures of the display actually up at the Marlor house...but the holiday season was incredibly busy. So I picked them up this morning and wanted to share with you my "attempts" to get the photography business name out there. I have had several people come up to me and compliment me on the entries...so that makes me feel like the mission was accomplished!!!
Also, last night I attended a photography convention in Atlanta called "Captivated by Light." It was wonderful and I feel like I learned so much, and also realized just how much more I have to learn. I can tell in this business it will be an ongoing self-educating process...I am in awe of the photographers that understand every aspect of their cameras....my new camera has given me a few fits in the learning process...as it has so many more options that that good old Nikon D50 I was shooting with. But, I will continue to educate myself to get better...it is fun to constantly learn and improve!

Kyle Hitchcock Photography is on display!!!

Yes, what an honor to be "displayed" in such a booming business in Milledgville, Katie Webster is a nurse practitioner with Dr. Palmer and they have agreed to display several pictures throughout their offices and exam rooms. This is thrilling for me to know that the work is on display in a place where new mothers can view and hopefully look in to the photography business for their family. I must say, that it helps to have the most beautiful customers in the world to take pictures of...God has surely blessed me with precious people to photograph. It just makes me smile to think of how priceless this journey has been...and in only 3 short months! So if you are in their office, Milledgeville OBGYN Associates, please let me know what you think!

Precious little Mary Elizabeth

Look at this little angel...it is hard to believe that Mary Elizabeth is nearing her 3 month birthday...but she is such a sweet baby. She really enjoyed her time this morning...with the exception of this hat moment. She was not crazy about having something on her head...but that's okay....if you see her gallery you will see she even gave us some big gummy smiles! Thanks to Jennifer for letting me continue to share in Mary Elizabeth's life! What a joy!

Baby Tyler Watson arrived today!

Okay, this is a shout out to the first in utero ( materenity pics ) I did for Danny and Jennifer Watson back in October. Their little man, Tyler was born this morning. Of course the text pictures look beautiful, and bless Jennifer's heart, she had to have a cesarian. All the way in Texas, I await the first trip to Milledgeville so I can get my hands ( and camera ) on this precious new life!

Wanna see something cool?

Okay, so I did not take these pictures, but I did doctor them up a bit in photoshop. I get to photograph my first delivery in May, and I am PUMPED!!! I hope this opens some new doors...as I know how personal this can be....it would be nice for husbands/daddies to be able to enjoy the experience without taking pictures....so I hope these are not too graphic, but isn't a new life just breathtaking? I have been in on two deliveries....but I was lying on the table and couldn't see anything but a little face with a cap on by the end....so I will prepare for these new adventures of being on the other side... Enjoy!

Brotherly love...

Sweet Carson and Hamrick...they are precious little boys who just love on each other! You can see that in the pictures... and those eyes...they both have the most beautiful blue eyes! Hamrick even brought his guitar for a concert, I can see a future there!
I loved this picture of Carson, he is such a sweet little boy...I think this captures the innocence of babyhood!
