Happy First Birthday Canon!

I was asked by Kyle to take her family photos.. and I must admit I was nervous. But it went so well! I truly enjoyed taking Canon's 1st birthday photographs.. and Abbie Kate's 2.5 year. Plus a few extra special ones of Kyle & Andrew with their children.. specially Kyle with them since that is something that she doesn't get very often since she is normally behind the camera instead of in front of it.

Thank you Kyle for having this confidence in me. I'm so excited that you liked them as much as you did. This business has truly been a gift from God and I am so glad we are walking in God's path together!

Drumroll please....

And the best husband, father, and friend is....you got it! My Andrew! I wanted to post a little praise for my amazing husband. I think back as this journey began and God willing, continues...I look at the amazing sacrifices my husband makes to help me continue to strive to become a better photographer. He is so amazing...each week, he looks at my appointment book and builds his free time around this, my new career. He has been so supportive and he is so great with our two children, that I am in awe of him and his tireless efforts. It is such a compliment that when people come over to the studio, they always comment on how lucky I am to have such a wonderful husband to take care of our children the way he does. I agree...I am so thankful and blessed. Best of all, he is the best spiritual leader a wife could ever wish for. I am so thankful for and to him. God is so good to us, we are healthy, safe and have a roof over our heads. I just cannot imagine my life without him. So I wanted to publish a few thankful words for the man that I love so much! Sweet sweet baby...

So this is little man Sye. This is my second opportunity to do some pictures of this little guy. He smiles 100% of the time and makes my job so enjoyable. I really hope I can continue to see him grow. Check out his proofs and you will see why I love him so much!

Kisses for a special valentine...just a few days late!

So we are a little late on the kisses...but our intention was to have this done for Valentine's Day. Ridley was very sweet and cooperative today. She make us laugh and smile and was such a joy to be around. I am so amazed at Greg and Shauna, Ridley's parents, they work so precious together as a team, to keep little Ridley smiling. She is such a lucky little girl, but I think her parents feel just as blessed to have her as a part of their lives. Another blessing to photograph a beautiful family. What a blessed journey this continues to be!

Have I told you lately that I love my job...

All I can say is BEAUTIFUL! This family is...they are so precious and the thought of another angel baby Sappe...well, I just can hardly wait! This is Jodi and Brad. They are expecting baby #2 here shortly. Her name is going to be Bella. This little angel has no idea how blessed she already is! I hope you enjoy a few pictures from their proofing.

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, the day of love is fast approaching and I put together a little card to express some love from a sweet little girl named Addie. I feel like her expression just says it all. She is such a precious little girl now...this was many months ago. But as I searched for a baby to put on this card, something about Addie's little face just drew me in...so Happy Valentines Day! Hopefully next year I will have my act together and have some actual Valentine Cards to offer! Have a great day!

Our first Engagement Shoot...

Okay, so today was our first engagement shoot. It was so much fun! Courtney was really on top of things today, she had a list of shots to get and things moved rather quickly. It was so nice to see Courtney in action today, she is a very talented photographer! I really enjoyed following her lead today...so when you look at Tiffany and Steven's cool pictures from today, know that Courtney was behind 99% of them!

Now on to our Bride and Groom...Tiffany and Steven are getting married in July. We are so excited about being their photographers. They are the most relaxed couple and they are so fun to be around. It is so refreshing to be around new love...it brings back those exciting days of looking forward to the newness of a marriage. I do have to give Steven praise for his great attitude in trying our crazy ideas. He is going to be an amazing husband...Tiffany is such a lucky girl! I hope you enjoy their proofs!

Emma Kate....

Emma Kate is 6 weeks old and today was my first visit with her. She was a precious little girl and had a lovely family. I was also so excited to meet Emma Kate's big brother Tanner. He is so fun and gave me lots of smiles today. You will have to check out their proofs to see how precious they were together...but here is a sneak peek into our session today.


This particular picture was funny...we were waiting for Emma Kate to calm down and then take the pacifier out quickly before we took the picture...but she had other plans...sure enough she spit it out just in time! I didn't know that I had gotten a picture of the pacifier as it fell...but here it is! So funny! The others were just a few of my favorites from today as well...but lots more to see in the proofs!

Sisterly love...

I absolutely love this picture of Emily. She is such a sweet little girl, and was smiling and giving me a serious face on command...but when I said.."do you love your Daddy Emily?" This is the face I got! I would say that her answer is yes! Emily is the best big sister to little Lainey. I am so lucky to work with these girls. This is my second opportunity to do pictures for the Jones family. What a compliment it is to have someone come back for more! That is every photographers dream... in my opinion!

This was also a sweet moment...Kelley (the girls' mother) hadn't planned on being in any pictures. But we took turns giving kisses...this was Lainey's turn. I just love these "real" moments...not so posey and emotion is evident. I truly love this job...I know I say this a lot...but the Lord continues to bless me by opening up the doors to work with amazing people like the Jones' family. I hope you have a blessed day!

Sometimes you are in the mood, and other times you are not...

Sweet Ridley, she visited me this morning for her 3 month pictures. Her precious mama and daddy were with her and were so prepared...we had talked about our fun ideas for this shoot and we all had high expectations...well, that was without consulting Ridley first. She quickly showed us that today was not the day she was going to give us the show we wanted. So we'll try again in a few weeks, but I couldn't help but post this picture of Ridley. Her eyelashes are so long and beautiful, that I couldn't resist snapping a few shots as she slept. I look forward to another opportunity to photograph Ridley. She truly is an angel!
